A couple of months ago, I shot and subsequently edited a video featuring my friend Chris Price, a local ultrarunner who has enjoyed a good string of success in the sport since starting in 2010. Unfortunately for me, almost as soon as I wrapped up editing, my computer suffered a severe hard drive crash. After numerous attempts to retrieve it, I had to accept the conclusion that it was lost forever (the last backup I did just happened to be 2 days before we shot).
Anyway, after oscillating back and forth whether or not to start the ENTIRE project from scratch, I finally decided to suck it up and do it. Thankfully, Chris was game when I told him what happened and I think in retrospect, it came out better than the previous video. Here is the end result:
CLIMB: featuring Chris Price from Billy Yang on Vimeo.
Anyway, the Angeles Crest 100 Mile Endurance Run takes place this weekend and since it's the biggest and baddest 100-mile race in Southern California, I could not miss out on an opportunity to participate. With the foot slowly but surely cooperating as I've been building up in distance, I decided somewhat last minute to jump in as a pacer for my friend who is running it as her first hundred. I'm beyond excited for her and all my other friends who will be involved in this race.
Best of luck to Chris and everyone else!

Very cool video. I think you made the right decision to shoot it again...
Small advice: The quote at the beginning. The guy who said it was called Friedrich (not Frederich). I just know this because I am German and he lived close to where I live...
Enjoy Angel Crest!
loved this video. i'm definitely glad you re-did it. have fun out there this weekend!
That was epic. So well-made. So timely. I think you did a phenomenonal job, Billy.
Great stuff...maybe a career shift in your future?
Cool video... but couldn't you have found a faster runner? I mean, come on!
