So unfortunately due to some trail closures my next race
Twin Peaks 50 had to be rescheduled to later in the year. Thank god I hadn't officially registered for it yet and been out my entry fee. Truth be told however, due to the difficulty of the course I honestly don't know if a month's worth of serious work would have been enough to net a satisfactory race. Either way, I began to look elsewhere right away upon catching wind of this and thankfully didn't take long to find an alternate race:
PCTR Montana de Oro 50K up north (about 3 1/2 hour drive).
Elevation Gain = 6,400+ ftI ran the 25K version of this race
last August (when I was dealing with runner's knee) and really enjoyed the difficulty and scenery the course had to offer so I'm happy to be giving the longer version a go.
Just got back from Hawaii where I paced a couple of friends in the
HURT 100 this past weekend. Full report of that coming up.
Getting excited about this race year!
