Race Weekend!

Just wanted to wish the many racers this weekend the best of luck! Notable races to note:

Race #1 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend:

To my friends running the half-marathon, marathon or embarking on the Goofy Challenge...good luck and remember to dress warm (the lows are expected to be in the 30's...yikes)!

Champion athletic wear (a brand I use - specifically "C9" from Target) also happens to be outfitting Disney participants for its 17th year. Be sure to check out their 2010 Innovation Lab program during your visit for more information on how you can be an outfitted participant this weekend!

Race #2 Southern California Half Marathon and 5K:

While I didn't run it last year, I did serve as a one-man cheerleader and course support and I can say, I was really jealous. It got rave reviews from the runners that day and while I would've loved to have added it to my race calendar, we all know that I'm nowhere near ready to run that distance yet.

Surf City it'll have to be.

Race #3 13.1 Marathon

Yep - you read it right. Thirteen point one...marathon. That in of itself was enough to turn me off the event initially. But it will be running near my old hood and I have several friends who will be racing it, so I feel like I should support it. While the folks were kind enough to offer me a comp entry, again - need a little more time to get my mileage up.
