These are just some of the feelings going through me as race day approaches.
I'm putting in the last couple of miles later tonight (at a very easy pace) and then it's rest/carbo-load before heading off to San Diego tomorrow morning.
I'm also re-dedicating this marathon to my father.
It's been 3 1/2 years since we tragically lost him.
I still miss him every single day.
I'd like to think he's still watching over me from beyond somewhere, but there are times I feel really alone.
I do know this though...I would not be the man I am today if it were not for him.
He's the one that gave me the heart, strength, and determination to do what I'm doing.
And run, walk or crawl - I'll finish this marathon in his honor.
See you guys at the finish line.

Good luck Billy! You know your dad would be proud.
Shit, he's probably stoked that you finally quit smoking!
