This half-marathon (which is extremely popular and sells out relatively fast) is a hybrid of road and trails with an elevation gain of almost a 1000 ft at one point.

In short, I don't expect to come close to breaking my PR time, or cracking the two hour mark (doesn't necessarily mean I'm not going to try though...cause I'm just that stubborn). No, this is more or less a tune-up run to see where I am in my training and also - to have fun!
I know at least half a dozen people running this with me (in either the 1/2 or 10K) so I'm just looking forward to running a good - but not a balls-to-the-wall race, and to the after-party which is supposed to be one of the best.
Still, it would be disingenuous to say I didn't give a shit about my finish time.

Run for tonight: a 7-mile tempo followed by some light weights.

Burger,
Thanks for the comments and best of luck on your upcoming HM. Sounds like you'll want to save yourself until you crest that big climb, and then cruise to the finish. DON'T GO OUT TOO HARD, and you may get your sub-2:00.
Cheers, ESG
